2009 season, plans?

Well for 2009 I have decided to race with EMRA (East Midland Racing Association) and with ThundersportGB.

My aim?

Well my aim for 2009 EMRA season is to gain a top 3 championship position. I think this is possible, but will require alot of hard work and determination, which I will deffinately be putting in.
For ThundersportGB my main aim is to learn new circuits at a competitive level.

Summary of my first year of racing

At the beginning of 2008 i decided to start motorcycle racing.

I approached a local team who was looking for a person to ride a Yamaha FZR400 in the EMRA F400 class at Mallory Park. I was lucky enough to be given this opportunity.

After competing in 4 races and partaking in several practice days, I was approached by someone else who was looking for a young rider to race his spare bike, Honda RVF400 which was mildly race tuned, and was a better set up bike.

After competing in 2 races, including two 2nd place finishes in the novice races, i was informed that he was selling up.

So i decided to take the plunge and buy my own race bike.

The bike i bought is a very competitive Kawasaki ZXR400.

I have competed in 1 race since buying the bike and have achieved my fastest lap times round Mallory Park, and my best finishing result in F400 race, 5th.

At the end of my first season i finished 13th out of 23 riders.

BIG thanks to all that have helped me in my first year of racing, especially my Dad and Mum, BMC Racing, and to the Jeacock family + freinds
